Brakes Motor Company is a family run motor dealership in the heart of Somerset. In 2007 “Brakes” celebrates its 60th year in business and the 48th year selling and repairing Fords.
Founded in 1947 by John Brake as a small engineering workshop and fuel station, In 1959 John Brake acquired the ford franchise which has been passed down to subsequent generations, and for the past 16 years has been managed by John Charles Grandson of John Brake. Still enabling a family maintained approach and outlook. Our philosophy is one of constantly raising the standards to our customer expectations. We strive to give our customers the best possible purchase and after sales experience.
True to our mission statement “Big enough to cope small enough to care". We carry approximately 100 new and used cars and vans in stock. Backed by a dedicated and friendly after sales /service team.
The speciality of the business is selling nearly new Fords at very competitive prices. Our new modern workshop is fully equipped with the latest diagnostic equipment allowing us to be a Ford authorised repair. We offer a complete after sales service including loan vehicles, MOT’s, Valeting service and a compressively stocked parts department.
