How to buy a car from Brakes Direct
If you are used to buying your car from a traditional showroom, you may have a few questions about Direct Ford. Rest assured, we're here to help at every stage of the process. Below you will find the most popular questions about buying direct.
How do I buy direct from Ford?
Once you have spoken to one of our advisors and decided which Ford you wish to purchase then it's quite simple:
- We require a £300 deposit to secure the Ford of your choice. This can be paid by either a debit card or credit card (a larger deposit may be required on factory order vehicles).
- Your order will be processed and a paper copy mailed to you within 24 hours of paying your deposit.
- Once you have received your paperwork and are happy with everything you simply sign it and return a copy to us. At this stage, your personal advisor will be on hand to answer any questions or go through any parts you may not understand.
- Once we receive your signed paperwork, we will organise a delivery date with you if your vehicle is in stock. If the vehicle is not stock, we will keep you updated at all times as to where your vehicle is and when you can expect it.
How do I get my car?
24/48 hours prior to delivery we will call you to take full payment of your vehicle. If you are having your new Ford delivered, we will give you the contact name and number of the driver and an estimated time of arrival. If you are collecting your new Ford from us then let us know how you are travelling to us and we will be happy to meet you and bring you to our delivery centre.
On delivery/collection of your vehicle your driver will do a full hand over. From this point on, the car is yours! However, if you have any other questions, your personal advisor will still be available to help you.
What about my current car? Do you offer a Part Exchange?
Yes! We offer part exchange deals on all of our cars. When speaking to your personal advisor, simply give them all the details of your current car, and they can work out a trade-in price against your new car. If we are delivering your new Ford to you, we'll arrange to take away your old vehicle at this point. You will be asked to complete a declaration document, detailing an accurate description of your car - this information allows us to give you a true valuation for your old car.
When we take possession of your current car we will compare the car's condition to your declaration. It is imperative that you are open and honest about its condition when completing the part exchange paperwork.
Do you offer finance?
Yes! We have a range of finance packages available to suit all circumstances. Depending on the Ford you want, and whether you have a car to exchange, your personal advisor can suggest a variety of competitive finance packages. We offer finance on, brand new ,nearly new cars and used cars.
If you are buying a brand new Ford from Direct Ford, we can offer:

- Up to 7 days free insurance
If you are looking to add optional extras and accessories to your car, we can organise this for you.
